Clinton's coworkers home was not damaged over the weekend. He did not make it to work yesterday but was there today. Please pray for Dumas. Did you know that the ABA has a disaster team. There are three states, Arkansas, Texas and Florida. They have been dispatched. You can go to the Texarkana website and find out more. I did not know we had anything like it.
They were saying that they hoped to get the electricity back on today or tomorrow for the Dumas residents.
Nothing else new here.
Grammy that sure was a big grin on your face holding those Grandchildren!!!! I sure could tell who was having the most fun!!!
Enjoy the pictures Mary and Tal of Emma and Elliot. They sure have grown since Christmas.
Hope to get to see you when you come to Arkansas.
Hey, if any of the family are here Thursday April 5th or Friday April 6th come out to Lost Creek and see our Life of Christ Drama. This is about our 10th or 11th year of doing this. It is outside at night, so please pray of good weather. In all the years that we have done this we have only had one night rained out.

God Bless Each of Everyone Of You

Hello to all....

I cannot believe February is almost gone. It seems like just yesterday when it was the end of January.

This weekend was extremely full for us. We were fortunate enough to have Grammy with us all weekend. Emma had a blast going and visiting her "new house" the hotel. And we even coaxed her to finally really swim, instead of just wanting to stick her feet in and watch mom and dad swim. It took almost an hour, but she finally seemed to enjoy herself. I just wish we had let her swim around in the hot tub (which was not really all that hot, I made sure she did not cook herself).

Then Sunday we took my grandfather, Big Daddy, to see him house for one last time. It was hard to see him say goodbye to the home he and my grandmother had lived in since before I was born. And it has been an adventure for my mom, aunt, and uncle trying to figure out what to do with all the things!

Okay, Tal is now licensed in Arkansas! So we need to get him appointment book full! I am so proud of him. He has been working so hard to get clients. He has his first "real" appointment tomorrow. YEAH for Tal and has a few more set for the coming weeks. The more he sells the quicker I can stay home with my kiddos. We are looking to come down for the last weekend of March/ first weekend of April, but if you get anyone that wants to meet sooner, let us know!

Also, we have had a few bites on our house...there maybe, just maybe someone slightly interested in it. That is more than we have had, so we are thrilled. We are looking for a weekend that we can come and do a lot of packing. If it works out, we will probably come that last weekend of March and do a good day or two of just packing. So if you know of anyone who wants to babysit or pack, bring them on! We will pass on the details soon.

Hope to see you all soon. More pictures to follow.

Grammy's Visit

I had an great time visiting Tal, Mary, Emmy and Elliot this week-end. We played, napped, ate, and changed diapers. Oh, yes, Tal, Mary, and Emma went swimming. It took Emma a little while to get use to the water but she loved it, especially the hot tub. She liked visiting Grammy's new house or the motel. You can see by the grin on my face that I think that being a grandmother is one of the best jobs in the world. Love to all, Grammy (Mellen)

We were blessed yesterday with no damage of any kind. Please remember the city of Dumas.
Clinton has a co-worker who lives in Dumas. As of now we do not know if he has had any damage or injury. Clinton will find out tomorrow at work. So far we have not heard of any deaths because of the damage just some injuries.
MawMaw got a good report on her legs. No problems with circulation.
Hey we will be having a Salley Family Reunion meeting March 3,2007 at 11:30 am at Kay and Ed's Restaurant in Benton. So if anyone can come and help plan our reunion, which will be the last Sunday in June, we would sure appreciate it.
I've got to go for now, time to get ready for church. Today is hat day so I have to go pick out a hat.
Love to All

Two Months Today

Oh, yes, and Happy Two months to Elliot!

Happy Birthday, Unc!

Sending you birthday wishes, probably through Aunt Sis! Wish we were there to share your cake! But for now, internet wishes are yours! Happy Birthday!

And to everyone else, we too enjoy reading your update immensely! It is great.

Lindsey, my friend, Casey, worked with me today. She said she enjoyed working with you. I am just envious that you probably will get to see her more than I do. I enjoy everyday I get to work with her.

I can grant you that those grandparents would love to get to see those grandbabies.

MawMaw got a good report on her legs yesterday. No blockages!!! All I could say was "Thank You Lord!!" Prayers were answered. He is so good to us a lot of times we do not realize it.

Jamie, I know you will do very good today and tomorrow. You won't be nervous long, you will jump in and everything will click and you will have the job done. Because you are prepared and you know what you are doing. I have confidence in you.

Mary, I read your blog yesterday but would not tell MawMaw what Emma had said. I wanted her to get the joy of reading it herself. We sure do enjoy reading about everyone.

Well I have to get up and get ready for work now. I'm just a lowly county employee, but I did get yesterday off. So now I have to go listen to the phone ring because we were closed last Friday also, we had to go to a meeting, and since this is court day we will have to listen to all those people who just can't get to court this afternoon. Some of their excuses are very funny.

God Bless to All,

Aunt Sis (Vickie)

I know my dad prolly won't read this but I wanna wish him a HAPPY BIRTHDAY! If you wanna know how old he is subtract 4 from 60 and you have his age! Well I hope everyone is doing good I LOVE reading about everyone on the blog! Well I better get off here I have to start getting ready to go to school! Have a good day everyone!

No Holiday for Me :o(

This state employee has to work today...or I'd pack up those grandparents and bring them to see Emmy!

It is a state holiday, but the AR legislature is in session, and we have to have a skeleton crew available at their whim. Also, I have depositions on Tuesday and first ones ever at ADEQ! I'm incredibly nervous, of course, and it doesn't help that this isn't even my case...I'm just sitting in for another attorney. Anyway, I had already planned to be preparing all day today, so I volunteered for the holiday. I'll get to take it later in the year...I'm already picking out the Cardinals game that I want to go see. ;o)

Yeah to Elliot (and his mom and dad) for sleeping through the night! May you have many more to come!!

And belated Happy Birthdays to Beth and Uncle Clinton!!

Elliot's first big milestone

YEAH!!!! Elliot officially slept almost all night. He went for almost six hours without waking up. I wasn't sure what to do with myself. Previously we had only been occasionally getting almost four. It was great!

Another week has begun. Tal and I both have to work today dispite the holiday. (I have decided being a state or federal employee might have it benefits ;-) But I get Wednesday and Thursday off with the kids, so I will be enjoying those days of play with them. We have quite a full week though because my Uncle is coming up from Texas to help get my grandfather's house ready to close on in March. And so my mom will be gone with that for a large part of the week. We have the pleasure of having Grammy come play with the kids on Friday, and Emmy already is counting the days.

Oh yes, and I would be amiss if I did not say that last night, Emmy stated that she "I NEED my PawPaw and MawMaw to come see me." We assured her that as soon as we could plan it, we would go visit them. So you are missed!

More to come, have a great Monday!

Saturday, February 17, 2007

I took a very long nap this afternoon and because of it, I cannot sleep tonight. It took until midnight to get Elliot to sleep tonight anyway because he was wide awake. Usually, he goes to bed really early, but not tonight. We hit a big milestone with him today, the first official poop through the diaper, through the clothes and get on mommy. It was crazy. Emma was trying to help clean up and she just kept saying, "Oh, wow. Oh, my gosh" I was so tickled and poor Tal was running around trying to find more wipes, a trash bag for not only the diaper, but we had to throw away the onsies it was so messed up. So needless to say it was off to the tub for our little one. After his bath, he promptly fell asleep. It was great! But then he was up for a long time after that. Hopefully he is asleep for the night seeing that it is almost 1am.

The weekend has been nice. Tal and I attended an awards banquet for his new job on Friday night. Then Saturday morning Emma and I went with my parents to look at houses. (We are wanting to bring my grandfather home from the nursing home because he hates it there. So we went on a hunt for a house.) Emma had a blast exploring all the houses. She was so cute telling us all about it. In one house, she disappeared into an empty room. Actually, no one knew where she was for a second. We were calling her name. I found her in an empty room standing in front of a large abstract painting. When she saw me she said, "Mommy, we need to talk about it." I just laughed. She is so funny sometimes. We found a few houses that would potentially work to take care of Big Daddy. But in all our adventures, the biggest part of the day was when we accidentally locked a cat in an attic. We could not find that cat or coax it out, so we left a note for the owners. I sure hope they find that cat...

I could make a hobby of looking at houses. It is so funny what some people do with their decorations. This one lady made her house to look as if you were on safaree in Africia, except for the master bedroom which had faux bricks painted on the wall with Greecian urns painted in faux alcoves. It was bizarre. The worse flooring of the day was the purple/pink tile we found in a house. It was so ugly and did not match the wallpaper at all. We figure he was a basement bargain shopper and that was what he found for the cheapest price.

Well, enough of my ramblings. I probably need to try to get a little sleep before the morning arrives.

God bless and enjoy a day to love our God and all He has made!

Mary, Tal, Emma, and Elliot

Ps. Emma turned 26 months today!

Hug your kids

Tonight I am writing at 2am, having just got home from work. It was such a hard day for me. I had full range of emotions. I was mad because a patient's mom lied about something that had occurred and another nurse who knows me and my reputation for being brutally honest took up for the mother. Then I was happy because a patient that I adore got off treatment and came up just to see me. Then finally I was devastated because as we were getting ready to discharge our final patient for the night, he went bad on us and as I was leaving two hours late for the night around 1:45am my last glimpse was an almost lifeless little one lying limp in his mother's arms fighting for every shallow breath. My heart broke for the poor mom and dad. It must be the most painful thing in the whole world to watch your child die in your arms. When is it ever right to say good bye, how to do you know when it is time to let go? So I guess as I left, I quit grumbling about how bad I have it, and just was thankful that I had just another day to hold my little ones. I, at least for tonight because I am thick headed, will not take them forgranted.

Sorry for the serious note, but I needed to get that off my chest so that maybe I can sleep a few hours tonight.

Dead Fish & Peanut Butter

Well you might be wondering about the title. Well as you read in Mom's post that Aunt Carol's fish was found dead. Well Mom said that Aunt Carol had a bag of dead fish to take back to Wal-Mart & Mom has Peanut Butter to take back. Dad heard tonight on tv that there was some Peanut Butter that had E-Coli in it and we happened to have 3 jars of it. Well I hope everyone is doing good! Love yall! ~Salley aka Sassey~

Birthday Wishes

Beth is, well you guess, years old today. Maw Maw and I had just got back from Little Rock and Paw Paw said that they were having cake and ice cream at Bob and Carol's for Beth's birthday.
Mind you we got in around 6:20. He said we were late because Carol said that they would eat around 6. We went over there and guess what! No one was at home. They had gone to Dorey's Catfish to eat to celebrate Beth's and Reece's birthdays. I called Beth and they were on their way. We had a good time, but watch out for the fish tank Beth and Lindsey!!! It seems that Carol's fish was missing in the fish tank, so Lindsey was going to find it, it had to be hiding. She found it alright. The poor thing started floating up from under something. Lindsey screamed and ran and Beth screamed. It's a birthday that Beth will not forget for a long time.

Happy Birthday Beth!!!

Love to all,
Aunt Sis

More Frogs...

The extra set of frog pajamas have arrived. Maybe now the others can get some rest. Grammy's week has been very busy. Last night, I went out to eat with Jamie and two of her friends from work for Valentine's day. When I got home, I had a very sweet card from Emma and Elliot. I have enjoyed showing off the new pictures to everyone at work. I am looking forward to the three-day weekend. I am going on my first trip by myself with the little camper. I have to take it back to NW Arkansas to be checked for a leak. Pray for a safe trip. Love to all from Mellen.

Happy Valentine's Day to the ones I love!

In the last few years, because I've not had a "honey" on Valentine's Day, I've taken special effort to tell my friends how much they mean to me. Because, if you think about it, only one of our "valentines" will be the romantic kind...the rest are our friends and family that we love. So, I especially appreciated Mary's stories from the other blog. And I especially want to tell you, my dear family, that I love you all!!

Cute Emma Stories

Thought I would pass on a few Emma stories...

The other day mom was keeping Emma, and she decided to throw a fit. Mom took her back into the back and was going to discipline her. Then she remembered that we usually give her one warning first and if she continues she is disciplined. But each day she has once chance to change her attitude. Well, Emma had calmed down by then and no more fits, but mom asked her if she needed a spanking. and my sweet little girl said, "Yes". Who asks for a spanking?

At the shower one of the young girls asked me if Emma could talk, I was holding Emma and she looked at them and said, "Yes, I can talk"

But my favorite thing she has said recently, is when she bends down over her brother and says, "Hey, Bubby, its Sissy!" Then she always tells him that he is "too cute" or "so sweet" Like she knows what she is saying...she is toooo cute!

Elliot is still just there. He doesn't interact much. I cannot wait to get to know his personality better. I think because Emma is so expressive, I will have to always remember not to push him to talk more or smile more. So I am learning to enjoy his more laid back manner.

I am at home tomorrow, so I can put up pictures! Plus, we got a camera battery

Update on Maw Maw and Paw Paw

Just an update on Maw Maw's doctor appointment today. She is to have an MRI on Thursday and then can start the shots on March 15. Another month!!!! She did ask the doctor for a stronger pain medicine than what she had. I can't remember what it is but, she said she has taken it before and it keeps her awake. Told her it was take it and stay awake and not hurt or not take it and sleep and hurt. Mary Ellen called just as we were leaving the doctor's and told her the above and she said maybe the doctor could give Maw something to sleep.

When we got home I tried to see what was wrong with her e-mail. Don't know, can't help, not good with computers. Told her she would have to get the computer guru (Mary Ellen) over to see about it.

Before I left I kissed Paw Paw on the head and told him he had fever. He said he did not, I said he did, and he pointed at the thermomater and I turned it on. He had 99 degrees. I told him "See there I know when you have a fever." He had already taken some tylenol. He said that it had not gotten above 99 today. He is still not feeling up to par.

I met Clinton and Salley in town and we went to North Little Rock to eat Birthday supper with his mother (our Granny) and Clinton's Aunt Net. As you all know Salley's birthday was today well Clinton's is next week the 20th. So we celebrated them both tonight with some good home cooking.

I think I will try to go to bed a little earlier tonight.

Love to All,

Aunt Sis

Hey, Hey, It's Your Birthday!!

Happy Birthday to Reece and Salley!!

Happy Birthday to Reece and Salley!

Happy birthday to you both! We hope and pray your birthday is full of blessings. Wish we could be there to celebrate.

PawPaw- we are thankful you don't have pneumonia, but will keep praying that you continue to get better! You got to get well soon, so we can come back and read more books, Gracie says. (You know that when my grandmother asked her what name she wanted on the overalls she had made for her, she said Gracie!)

MawMaw- We are praying you get some speedy relief and rest from your pain. Wish we could be there to cook and clean for you so you could rest all day, but since we cannot we will pray double hard!

Pictures to come. I accidentally bought the wrong camera batery, so camera is dead. But my friend is emailing me some from Elliot's shower! Which, we loved seeing Jamie and Grammy this weekend, wish it was for longer. Y'all are the best!

Maw Maw and Paw Paw

Just a little note about Maw Maw and Paw Paw (yes I'm telling on you both)

Paw Paw went to the doctor Friday and they took x-rays of his chest. He does not have pneumonia just the same stuff that he has had. They gave a new round of antiobodies.

Maw Maw goes tomorrow (Monday) to the back doctor. Her hip has started hurting more now.
Paw Paw is going to stay home and I will take Maw Maw to Little Rock. Pray that they can get her in for shots for her back very, very soon.

Paw Paw's brother, Uncle Trunnie is home from the hospital. Remember him and Aunt Cora Lee and the others who are helping with his care.

Hope everyone has a good week this week. I'm praying for you all.

Special Prayer Request

I just had a conversation with a lady at work. Both of her sons are deployed overseas in the military. Her oldest son is in the Air National Guard. He has been in Iraq, but is now in U.A.E. awaiting his return home. He'll be starting his officer training when he returns. Her youngest son (the baby, she calls him) is in the Air Force and stationed as a M.P. in Afghanistan. He will be there for at least another six months, if not longer.

Talking to her just reminded me that we need to take time to remember our soldiers every day. We are so blessed that these wars and international conflicts have had little direct impact on the Ewing family. In the grander scheme of things, we really do live our daily lives so free of worry and turmoil. I guess I'm just saying that I need to show more gratefulness, less grumbling....

Time to climb on board

I thought it was time I joined party. I am so proud of you, Lindsey. Your hard work has been worth it. I am so glad it Friday. Third floor of City Hall has been very busy since the first of the year. With our new software, we have all had trouble just doing some of the normal parts of our jobs. I have been glad to go home and have the peace and quiet. I think I will go home and build a fire to try and get warm. - Grammy (aka Mellen)

Way to Go, RN

You go girl! That is incredible. And what a relief to find out your results. I sure hope Reece has something cool planned to celebrate! Tal took me out for fondue, which was my favorite.

All that studying paid off, and you don't have to worry about it anymore. Now comes that fun part, Work, Work, Work!!!!!!

YAHOOIEEE! for Lindsey

Congratulations, Lindsey!

It's Friday and I'm feeling the weight of the work week. It was all I could do to drag myself out of bed this morning. But Mom and I are headed to Memphis on Saturday...that should perk me up!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Hi Family!!!
I just wanted to stop and say thank you all for your prayers...and THEY WORKED!! God is SO GOOD!

I (actually by Reece over the phone) checked the website this morning and I PASSED!!! I'll write more later, but I just wanted you all to know!

Love you all!

I was putting a calendar together for the blog. Can everyone email me and give me a list of their birthdays and anniversaries as well as any other important dates they might want known. That way we can celebrate them with everyone. So no real hurry, but I have a calendar application I am trying out.

What does everyone think of the counter? I am having too much fun playing these days.

PS. I changed the counter to legos for Bryce and Rhett, I don't know if they play with legos, but it was the coolest boy thing I could find.

Hey to all.....

I cannot believe how fast my day of freedom went. Emma, Elliot and I went to Target to use a gift card that my co-workers had given Elliot. We picked him out some ground toys (like a tummy/floor time mat). We did not have anything like that for him and he likes to lay down on his own a lot. So we thought he might like that. For now, all we know is that Emma loves it.

We ended up and did not go the doctor yesterday because after getting a humidifer his nose cleared up. Of course, we forgot to run it Tuesday night, so he woke up clogged up. But hopefully after keeping the air a little more hunid, he will adjust to our world a little better.

I go back to work today and tomorrow. I am not looking forward to it, but I have to do it. Fortunately, I work with some great co-workers and one of my favorite gals is working the exact same schedule as I am working this week. So it has been nice to be with her.

Tal was so great! I got the best night sleep, and I needed it. I was ready to go to bed at 7:30 last night. He gave Elliot and Emma their baths (and he gave Elliot's bath, this was his first time to give him a bath and he did it only with the help of Emma, impressive, huh?) Even more impressive, he got both kids to bed by 8:50. It was lovely. Hopefully, this can continue.

Well, that is all our news...Just one prayer request....I need to switch days with a co-worker in two weeks due to family sch. conflict and needing childcare. Pray someone will be able to switch with me.

Hello Family!

Hi to all the Ewing clan! Hope everyone is doing good! Things are pretty good in my world lol stayin busy with work, school (I should graduate May 11th yay!) and Church Activities. I have a full plate in the next few months. Lost Creek is hosting the March Gramt County Youth Rally, then about 2 weeks after that we have our Easter Drama April 5th & 6th at 7pm & 8pm (please come) this is my first year as Co-Director so I'm pretty excited, then the following week we have AYC (Arkansas Youth Conference) which will be April 13th & 14th. So I am staying pretty busy! Also pray for me I have several test in the next few weeks plus work stress!!!! They are stressing me out at Dillard's so please pray for me! Plus I also have some unspoken prayer request! So hope everyone is doing good! Miss you all! ~Salley aka Sassey~

I'm Here!!

This is a great idea and I'm sorry I'm late to the party! I must have spent half of last Friday getting my Google account updated. It seems I had already set up an account when I created a very short-lived blog back in 2005 (it was just the crazed ramblings of an out-of-work environmentalist). So, I got everything reset...and, by this afternoon, I had already forgotten my password!! As with everything that happens for the next three months, I blame it on the legislature being in session. ;o)

The legislature keeps us hopping here in the Legal Division of ADEQ. We're often drafting new bills or analyzing bills that have been filed by others. In fact, today, I was called into a meeting to discuss a bill analysis I had written almost two months ago! I was less than fully prepared, but I did the best I could for last minute notice. Two months may not seem like much...but quite a bit has happened in my office over the last two months: We had an attorney quit and I've gotten involved in some of his high-profile cases (but, luckily, not as the new lead attorney). My secretary decided the drive from Bismark to LR was too much for her and she ditched us for the Hot Spring County Prosecutor's Office (good luck, Teresa!). But the biggest change is that we have a new head of our department. The ADEQ Director is appointed by the Governor and, with a new governor, we got a new boss. I met her today and I think she is going to be okay.Life in North Little Rock is great.

If you're ever in LR/NLR on the weekends or even want to have lunch or dinner during the week, give me a call on my cell. I'm a boring single girl, so you're sure to find me at home. Email me at (jewing973 at if you don't have the number!

Praying for you Lindsay!

I know you won't read this until after your test. But I wanted you to know that you are in our prayers.

And now that you are reading this, it is over! Make sure you celebrate. Wish we were there to celebrate with you. We will raise our glasses of water in honor of you tonight!

Little things

Thanks for all the encouragment, it means the world. So I will be heading out in an hour. But God is so good. You know those little things He does just to remind you He cares. I hate the cold, Hate It. Today originally was supposed to be 32 for a high and 16 at night when I get off at midnight. But it all changed and really only for today it is warming up to 56 during the day and obly 43 at night. Can you believe it? That means my long walk to and from work won't be near as bad. Now Thursday morning in the rain/snow mix won't be fun, but hey at least my first day back will be great.

Lindsay- I will be praying for you tomorrow and today. Remember, don't stress about this, you know this stuff. Try and at least take a couple hours before going to sleep and do something you enjoy. I had tto work until midnight the night before my test, but I wanted to be watching movies! And when you get done you can jump for joy. We are so proud of you.

Hope everyone feels better soon. Elliot is going to the doc tomorrow for bad congestion. But so far we have stayed relatively ell for almost two weeks. Stuffing veggies and fruits.

I'll update you soon regarding today's saga. Also, kudos to Tal, he has been working so hard to get started in this job and he is doing well so far. Pray that God blesses our search for clients! And if you have any referrals, let us know he will soon be licensed in AR and has a great firm of very experienced CFP's working with him. (sorry for the commercial, just chalk it up to a proud wife)

Work and Test

Mary, you will be in my prayers and thoughts tomorrow as you go back to work. I know it must be very hard to do. I will also keep your mom and Emma espicially in my prayers. You are so blessed to have your family there when you need them. Little brothers are a joy, and a lot of help.. I know my little brother was (well most of the time, like when he was asleep!! ha, ha).
The time you have with Emma and Elliot will now be very special so cherish each moment.

Lindsey, you will also be in my prayers the next few days. I know you can do it. You have worked hard and long for this and the Lord will see you thru.

I went to the doctor today and he said most of my problems were sinus and swollen glands in my throat. I got some medicine. My voice is not back to where it should be, but I am feeling a lot better than this weekend.

Well I had better go for now. Love each and everyone of you. Keep us in your prayers. May the Lord Bless your.

Vickie "Aunt Sis"

We need all need a little sunshine!

It seems like we could all use a little sunshine!
Lets take a count....Aunt Sis, Paw Paw, Beth and Bryce...and as of yesterday Dad (Uncle Bob) was feeling horrible. You all need to stay away from me...Just Kidding! I hope everyone feels better soon!
I loved the snow!!!!! It started snowing Thursday night when Reece and I were visiting mom and Richard. Before we left we had a snow ball fight (which mom started by the way) and then we (Mom, Reece and I) ganged up on Richard and attacked him. It was so much fun!
Reece had to take me to work on Friday because we didnt know how bad the roads would be....they weren't too bad and we got there safely and back. Thanks to Our Lord.
I have a HUGE prayer request for everyone. I take my STATE BOARDS on Wednesday. That is Feb. 7th at 9:00 a.m. I've been very nervous and the closer it gets the more nervous I get. I know that I am to rely on God to see me through and as long as I've done my part, He'll do His. (But human nature still causes me to worry....we can all understand that...Right?) I just ask that if you all would, say an extra prayer for me to do my best and for God to guide my heart to choose the right answers.
I hope everyone is doing well and those who've been sick- get well soon! I love you all and hope to hear from you soon! OH and I will say a prayer for you Mary that the transition back to work goes smoothly for you, Talmadge, Emma and Elliot--as well as Nuther Mother :)
Love- Lindz

Last day of freedom

Hey, Everyone!

Today is my last day of freedom before going back to work. It will be hard after being off for over ten weeks. Please pray for my little ones when I go back and for my mom. I know this will be an adjustment for everyone. When I told Emma last night that I would be going back to work, she just said, "Oh, no."

Pray that Elliot takes good naps, so that Nuther Mother can play with Emma and make her feel special. And that the evenings go smoothly for everyone. Thankfully, I have Wednesday off, so that I can play with the kiddos in between and then Friday, Uncle Matt gets off at 11am, so he has graciously agreed to come help out and make it special for Emma.

And by the way! GO COLTS!

Snow Day and Sick Day all in one

Well I stayed home today because of the snow but I am also sick. Not sure if it is just a bad cold or the crud. Paw Paw is also sick. He got medicine last week but Maw Maw said he still feels bad. I had hoped for a snow day so I could get so cleaning done but have only slept and read and watched TV. I have a Doctor's appointment Monday but may be better by then. I think one day last week the Doctor I go to saw about 90 people, most of them school children. Well I guess I will go for now and get something for this cough. Love to All

Emma and the snow

I am just learning about videos, so this is my first attempt. Better ones to come

Snow Days

Last night Memphis finally got snow. As soon as Emma gets up, I plan on going out with her for some fun in the snow. I will be sure to send pictures for all of you to see. She got to play a little in the snow last year, but she was only 13 months old and both times it snowed she had fever, so it was only briefly that we even let her outside. It was probably more for us then for her.

But I think she will at least find it interesting today. I think Elliot will pass though, he preferes to be warm and toasty. I might dress him out for a picture, because who can pass on a good photo opt.

Hope you are all staying warm and safe.

Four prayer requests:
1) Our house to sell
2) A good friend's parents are going through a difficult time right now
3) Safety for a friend traveling to see us this weekend
4) I am going back to work on Tuesday and don't want to, pray for my mom with the kids and me with peace going back.

Access for those who don't have blogger account

Okay, if you don't have a blogger account and would like to use this one. We have created one just for MawMaw's log.

the user name is

and the password is Sheridan

Just remember to sign your name at the bottom of what you have written because it will only say that you are part of the Ewing Family, it will not let us know who exactly is writing. (If you have your own account, your name would be attached to it.)

So hope that this is helpful and we can get this going!

Gaining access

Okay, since I am not that technically inclined, I think I have figured it out, but there is a grand chance that I haven't. So bare with me as we learn together.

Once I have your email address, I can send you a request to sign up as a blogger on our account. Then you can use the link in the email I send you to set up your own personal access. If you already have a google account, which anyone that already uses does have one, you can use that one. If not, there is a link that is on that page that says Create your account now. Press that link and follow the instructions which will give you access to the account.

If all else fails, and we cannot figure this out. I will give out my ID and access to everyone and we can just use that for now. But I am sure we can get this!!!!

I love this ideal. Is there anything special we need to do? Or do we just type in the coments section? So for tonight we have gotten a little sleet and maybe a little snow. May have to go to work tomorrow after all.

This is great! Now even though we all have our different routines and schedules we can still function as a family and be there for one another, even if we're not there in person! Say a prayer... I'm worried about driving to work in the morning if all of this freezes tonight! It's sleeting as I speak. Love you all!
